University set to host National Apprenticeship Week lunch
University College Birmingham’s award-winning Restaurant at College of Food will be serving a delicious buffet lunch today to coincide with National Apprenticeship Week with ample portions of learning and inspiration.
Organisers are bringing together professionals who are already benefiting from apprentices in their workforce, alongside companies who are new to the apprenticeship world.
Offering the chance to network on tables themed with ‘Skills for life’, the week’s overarching theme, attendees will leave the event with ideas on how working with a training provider such as University College Birmingham, could bring skilled workers to their teams and help with their development aspirations.
The event will also highlight the breadth of different apprenticeships available, both in terms of level and industry.
José Lopes Pro Vice-Chancellor, at University College Birmingham said: “We are delighted to welcome business leaders to enjoy lunch with us and to find out more about the opportunities that apprenticeships offer.
“We are looking forward to hearing from our current partners on their experiences of having apprentices as part of their workforce, and sharing their knowledge with businesses curious about starting their own apprenticeship pathway.
“It’s also a chance for us to showcase the high level of skills of just some of the apprentices learning with University College Birmingham.”
As part of National Apprenticeship Week, University College Birmingham will be sharing videos of their apprentices and staff experiences.
