University to sponsor Greater Birmingham Young Professional of the Year Award 2024
Future Faces Chamber of Commerce have announced that University College Birmingham will be sponsoring the overall Greater Birmingham Young Professional of the Year 2024 award.
With partnerships involving over 1,000 employers locally, nationally and globally, University College Birmingham has invested over £200 million in state-of-the-art facilities. Having been twice ranked in the top 10 for overall postgraduate experience (PTES 2024) and winning best university in the West Midlands in the Whatuni Student Choice Awards 2024, the University is committed to helping students pursue their passions while learning the skills needed to address today’s skills gap.
Elaine Limond (pictured), Vice Dean at University College Birmingham, said: "I am very proud that our Business School is sponsoring the Greater Birmingham Young Professional of the Year overall winner award. Our students and alumni play a crucial role in the region’s economy, and this award reflects our commitment to lifelong learning, leadership and industry collaboration.
“In supporting this award, we celebrate the talented, young professionals shaping the future of the West Midlands and affirm our dedication to fostering regional growth and innovation."
Enterprise and hands-on experience are central to the University’s degree courses, which include a flexible Executive MBA developed in collaboration with employers. Designed for professionals in management or leadership roles, it enhances business acumen through expert teaching and guest speakers, with the added benefit of an international business trip.
Rosie Ginday, founder and CEO of Miss Macaroon, said: “It was a privilege to be part of the development of this Executive MBA, using my own business experience and leadership to shape the programme. Having an advanced qualification is a huge advantage in business, helping you grow in your senior-level role and lead more strategically. An invaluable string to your bow.”
The Greater Birmingham Young Professional of the Year Awards 2024 are set to take place on Friday, 18 October at the ICC, Birmingham.
The awards are designed to celebrate and recognise the exceptional talent and achievements of young professionals in the Greater Birmingham area. This annual celebration honours individuals who have demonstrated outstanding performance, innovation, and dedication in their respective fields, contributing significantly to their industries and the local community.
The event also fosters networking opportunities, encouraging collaboration and the exchange of ideas among the brightest minds in the region.
