Up-and-coming building consultancy relocates to St Paul’s Square
Space Building Consultancy has announced its relocation to a Grade II listed building at 50–54 St Paul’s Square in Birmingham’s historic Jewellery Quarter.
The move marks the next chapter in the firm’s growth journey and underlines its commitment to design-led, client-focused building consultancy.
The firm was previously based at the Custard Factory in Digbeth. It supported the firm’s early expansion and creative ethos, but growing client demand and a refreshed brand identity prompted the search for a landmark city-centre address.
Toby Bowser, managing director at Space Building Consultancy, said: “We loved every minute at the Custard Factory—it embodied our forward-thinking spirit.
“Now, 50–54 St Paul’s Square offers us an equally inspiring setting with even greater visibility and connectivity to our clients and our projects.
“It’s the perfect stage for the next phase of our journey.”
Space Building Consultancy officially rebranded from Space Building Surveyors on 4 July 2025, reflecting an expanded service offering and a sharper strategic vision.
The move to 50–54 St Paul’s Square dovetails with this rebrand.
Will Purvis, director at Space Building Consultancy, said: “Our new office is a tangible product of the business’s evolution.
“The high quality office accommodation and the superb surroundings of St Paul’s Square close Birmingham’s business district aligns with our renewed focus on delivering high-quality, business-to-business consultancy.”
St Paul’s Square is the last remaining Georgian square in Birmingham, renowned for its tree-lined lawns and the Grade I listed St Paul’s Church at its centre. 50–54 benefits a plethora of original period features as well as easy access to Colmore Row.
Sophie Froggatt, Agency Surveyor at Siddall Jones and the leasing agent on this transaction, said: “St Paul’s Square continues to attract forward-thinking businesses seeking a prestigious address with genuine heritage appeal.
“Space Building Consultancy’s move to 50–54 perfectly reflects their growth ambitions and brand refresh—and we’re delighted to secure a space that meets both their operational needs and their elevated image.”
