Upcoming events: Riga Food, international 'matchmaking' and Pitchfest Midlands
Several events are taking place over the coming months to help businesses connect with new contacts and suppliers, as well as getting 'investment ready '.
Industry 4.0 International Days 'matchmaking ' is taking place from 7 to 8 September, during Global Industrie - an international fair and France 's biggest industrial exhibition.
This matchmaking event is a great opportunity to meet potential partners for technological, commercial or collaborative research projects (including Horizon Europe call for proposals) in the fields covered by Global Industrie.
The fair targets the entire industrial ecosystem - from start-up to major customers, including subcontractors, equipment manufacturers, competitiveness clusters, research centres and incubators - as well as the whole value chain (R&D, design, production, maintenance, services), and all user markets.
The event is divided into 15 large sectors simultaneously grouping together equipment, know-how, raw materials and machinery.
In 2019, the Industry 4.0 International days at Global Industrie resulted in more than 330 meetings.
This year, booking will be open for both onsite and virtual meetings.

Meanwhile, Riga in Latvia plays host to Riga Food 2021 from 8 to 10 September.
This event offers the chance to research the latest trends in food industry, giving an insight of technological development and new products.
It connects companies looking for production partners with manufacturers, service providers and suppliers within the food industry.
Examples of businesses that have signed up so far include a grease separator, wastewater treatment, packaging, distributer, health and moulding and technical parts.
The event is open to any business in food and/or technology, and interested in forming international ties.

Meanwhile, the deadline is approaching to register an interest in Pitchfest Midlands - a regular training event designed to help the most ambitious and innovative businesses in the UK to get pitch ready and fast-track their road to investment.
It will support businesses to develop their pitches and get given constructive feedback and bespoke advice.
The application deadline is Tuesday 21st September (outcome notified 28 September).
Training days and investor pitching will take place between 12 October and 23 November
Participants will then receive follow-on support from an innovation and growth specialist.
