US trade and expansion opportunities in focus at Chamber event
Greater Birmingham businesses who are considering trading with the United States can gain key insights on how to do so at a forthcoming Chamber event.
'Coming to America: Understanding the US market and how your business can succeed ' is hosted by the Greater Birmingham Transatlantic Chamber of Commerce.
It takes place on 12 October at the Birmingham office of HSBC.
Key partners to the Transatlantic Chamber will discuss overcoming the challenge of setting up operations in the US, as well as trading with the American market.
There will also be the chance to hear from speakers who have already successfully laid down roots in the US.
The US Embassy 's Commercial Department and the Council of American States in Europe (CASE) will also be on hand to answer questions and discuss their various support initiatives.
Sharon Stead (pictured), CASE treasurer, said: “Members of CASE actively seek foreign companies, and in this instance British companies that are considering the US market for their overseas expansion activity.
“The US is still the largest and most dynamic market in the world and very much open for business to British companies.
“Come to our seminar and learn how we as State representatives can work with you and offer you our expertise on the US market to help grow your business. ”
Chamber international director Mandy Haque said: “I am delighted to welcome CASE to Birmingham to help share information supporting business to grow in the US market.
“It has been a while since welcoming CASE to the region in person so it will be a great opportunity to learn more about the soft landing programmes and support packages on offer from various US states as well as hear from the US Embassy, HSBC, our own Greater Birmingham Transatlantic Chamber president and other business partners. ”
