Valentine’s date for Lichfield film and wine buffs

Film and wine lovers are being invited to a special Valentine’s date in Lichfield with wine expert Tony Elvin.

Tony, of the Wine Events Company, a qualified Sommelier and ex Hotel du Vin general manager,  will be on hand at a Valentine’s showing of the Woody Allen movie ‘Midnight in Paris’ at the Hub at St Mary’s.

The movie will be paused at appropriate moments as the Wine Events Company shares its favourite French wines, as well as a soupçon of fun movie trivia. The event is on Saturday February 17, beginning at 8pm.

Written and directed by Woody Allen, Midnight in Paris (2011) tells the story of a

nostalgic screenwriter who, while on a trip to Paris with his fiancée’s family, finds himself mysteriously going back to the 1920s every night at midnight.  The film stars Owen Wilson, Rachel McAdams and Kathy Bates.

Tickets include the classic movie showing and five themed wines served during the film.
