Virtual trade mission highlights Queensland opportunities

UK headquartered firms can learn more about opportunities to do business in the Australian state of Queensland during a virtual trade mission this month.

Queensland is Australia 's second largest state geographically - nearly seven times the size of Great Britain - and has the third largest population.

The state has experienced significant growth in infrastructure investments as part of its Covid recovery plan including a $520 million Government program to support major private sector investment.

Queensland has also been formally announced as the host of the 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

The 'Spotlight on Queensland ' series will deep dive into the area 's fastest growing sectors.

There are four sessions addressing different topics, starting tomorrow.

They are:

  • 12 Aug - 8am to 10am BST - Session 1: Opportunities and support within the State
  • 19 Aug - 8am to 10am BST - Session 2: Water
  • 26 Aug - 8am to 10am BST - Session 3: Energy
  • 02 Sep - 8am to 10am BST - Session 4: Sports Infrastructure
