Visit Knowle announces new chair

Visit Knowle have announced that Nick Lyons, director of Eric Lyons, will take over as chair of the board.

Nick (pictured) joined the team of directors at Visit Knowle in 2021, and has will now take over as Chair of the Board to ensure Visit Knowle 's action plan for Knowle reflects the priorities of their members.

Nick is a director of one of Knowle 's oldest businesses, Eric Lyons, an artisan family butchers offering the finest meats, home-made pies, pastries, ready-meals and a takeaway deli. He has always lived in Knowle, attending the local schools and has long been involved in Knowle Village Cricket Club.

Nick is a passionate advocate for Knowle and its businesses and said: “Knowle has a fantastic range of strong, independent businesses at the heart of a community working together to make the place where we live and work a place to be proud of ”.

Nick introduced a WhatsApp group for business members which has proved really popular with businesses sharing news, advice and support. Looking forward to the year ahead, Nick said: “The team at Visit Knowle work tirelessly on projects that support our village - from business support to street scene, from marketing to events.

“Following the success of the Coronation Celebrations we would love to host an annual village celebration, and to make that happen we are seeking more businesses to become a member of Visit Knowle, more residents to become a friend of Visit Knowle, and we 're looking for sponsors who can help make this headline event happen. ”

The board of directors has recently welcomed three new directors- Sue Thompson, of No Thirty One, Ken MacKay of Knowle British Legion and Jason Turner of Cheals. The board of directors consists of representatives from local businesses, community groups and local residents.
