Visit Knowle, a business led body working to sustain the long-term future of Knowle by helping businesses to flourish, is celebrating their three year anniversary.

Three years ago, a group of businesses, residents and representatives of community groups met in Knowle to talk about the opportunities to work together for the benefit of Knowle.

Over the last 3 years they havr worked in four teams to support Knowle.

Visit Knowle's marketing team promote local businesses and Knowle as a place to spend time, shop, eat, drink and do business. In the last year they've created social media campaigns, featured members in spotlight posts, launched a website and commissioned photography of the village and the businesses based there.

The street scene team work on improving the centre alongside Solihull Council and community groups including Knowle Society and Knowle and Dorridge Lions. Projects include town tidy days, decorating the centre with street bunting, organising the refurbishment of planters and commissioning a new parklet.

The events team has brought a programme of events to Knowle, working alongside community groups such as Knowle Society and Knowle, Dorridge and Bentley Heath Neighbourhood Forum to celebrate Knowles heritage on heritage days. They have enjoyed augmented reality trails around the centre and at Christmas introduced street entertainers. They're now working with other community groups to celebrate the Platinum Jubilee.

Finally, their business support team have been busy organising networking evenings, social media webinars and organised branded photography sessions for businesses. They have introduced a member - to - member offer scheme as well as a resource centre for members on our website, and have represented Knowle at local events and forums.

The team at Visit Knowle said: "We have achieved much more than we perhaps thought we would when we sat around a table three years ago and we couldn 't have done it without the support of our businesses, volunteers and organisations including Solihull Council. Here 's to the next 12 months -we 've got great plans for the year ahead.
