Volt-Age boss to speak at International Women's Day event

Paulina Poziomska, Managing Director at Volt-Age Ltd is scheduled to speak at an event celebrating the international women 's day.

The event is being organised by the University of Wolverhampton and will be held from 2 to 4pm at the Wolverhampton School of Art on 8 March 2023.

Other speakers include Gemma Oldfield, head of digital project delivery at global creative communications agency DRPG; Kate Farrell, head of design at Sherbet Donkey Media; Lisa Barrett, graphic designer and co-owner of design collective Life+Soul, and Paulina Poziomska, managing director at Volt-Age Ltd.

All speakers are alumnae graphic designers and will be discussing women in the graphic design world while drawing upon their own experiences and careers in the industry.

The session will be chaired by Dr Louise Fenton, senior lecturer in contextual studies for visual communications.

Paulina is the managing director at Volt-Age Ltd and a marketing and creative consultant in the mobile gaming industry with a particular interest and passion for technology, design, advertising psychology, creative strategy, and people management.

In the last few years, Paulina was responsible for overseeing the development of creative strategies for mobile games. Additionally, she worked with game developers, product managers, and senior members of the business to ensure the marketing aligns with the game's overall vision and goals.

Paulina has a deep understanding of the mobile gaming market and its target audience, as well as strong leadership, communication, and project management skills.

Paulina graduated from the University of Wolverhampton in 2011 with a bachelor 's degree in graphic communication.

She would describe herself as an entrepreneur who loves the challenges that business strategy and operation produce. At all times her passion was to establish and run her own business where she could oversee every part of the business.

Gemma Oldfield is Head of Digital Project Delivery at global creative communications agency DRPG. She has been with the group since starting as Digital Project Manager in 2014 and has been an integral part of getting the 50+ strong digital team to where they are today - 2019 Digital Agency of the Year and the Digital Impact Awards.

Kate Farrell, a UX/UI designer and creative problem solver, heads up the design team at Sherbet Donkey Media, a digital agency located in Bromsgrove. With a Graphics degree from Wolverhampton School of Art (2011), and over a decade of experience in both print and digital design, Kate has a diverse portfolio that spans across various industries.

Lisa Barrett is an independent graphic designer and co-owner of design collective Life+Soul.

Since graduating from the University of Wolverhampton in 2011 with a First Class BA Hons in Graphic Communication she's worked with clients such as National Trust, Mental Health UK and Hyundai. Lisa specialises in brand design and works with clients to develop their identities, campaigns and to make their content more effective.
