War in Ukraine: What happened this week?
The UK, US and Europe all vowed to step up support for Ukraine this week as the conflict with Russia continued.
Russia 's continued actions against Ukraine also prompted further sanctions, as well as a high-profile resignation from one of its own diplomats.

Tuesday 24 May
US intelligence reports Russia has effectively halted all maritime trade at Ukrainian ports, blocking grain exports and risking a global food crisis.
A Russian diplomat posted to the UN in Geneva resigns in protest over Moscow 's 'aggressive war ' in Ukraine.
Wednesday 25 May
The European Union, the United States, and the United Kingdom announce that they will establish the Atrocity Crimes Advisory Group for Ukraine, a mechanism aimed at ensuring efficient coordination of their respective support to accountability efforts on the ground.
The British Embassy Kyiv calls for project bids to support psychological and traumatic medical work in Ukraine in 2022/23.
Meanwhile, the UK government and the Premier League both approved the £4.25bn takeover of Chelsea Football Club by a consortium led by American businessman Todd Boehly.
The London club was put up for sale in March before owner Roman Abramovich was sanctioned over his links to Russian president Vladimir Putin.
The takeover finally received approval after the government was satisfied that Abramovich won 't receive any of the proceeds from the sale, which will instead go into a frozen bank account to be donated to charity.
Thursday 26 May
