Warehouse management group secures key contract with global supplier
Kidderminster-based warehouse management systems experts THINK are carving a reputation on the world stage after securing a key contract with global automotive component supplier AMCO.
THINK secured a large contract to develop, supply and implement a Warehouse Management System (WMS) to the AMCO Group, one of the top five automotive suppliers in the world.
AMCO Group is a provider of a wide range of logistics services to several different industry sectors, including automotive supply (OEM and aftermarket), aerospace, FMCG, and defence.
Following extensive research and after considering solutions offered by a number of competitors AMCO Group chose THINK Warehouse Management System as ideal for their purposes.
Phil Hill, THINK Director, said: "AMCO were pursuing a contract to supply a sequencing solution to a German owned luxury carmaker in the UK. They had been contacted by a German supplier of interior trim parts who required a UK based warehouse to store and supply components in final production sequence.
“AMCO immediately contacted THINK for support in developing a concept to present to the 1st tier and OEM. THINK have more than 20 years’ experience in automotive sequencing solutions, from design through to implementation.
“We worked with AMCO, supporting meetings with the 1st tier and OEM, once the contract was awarded to AMCO. THINK were instrumental in the project management and on time delivery of the solution."
