WATCH: Benefits of workplace travel plans

Councillor Waseem Zaffar (pictured), cabinet member for transport and the environment at Birmingham City Council, discusses how businesses can benefit from creating workplace travel plans for staff during the Chamber's latest Q&A.

He discussed the issue with Paul Faulkner, just before he stepped down as chief executive of Greater Birmingham Chambers of Commerce.

The council is urging firms to create workplace travel plans in the advent of Birmingham's Clean Air Zone coming into force in June.

Workplace travel plans can offer a range of initiatives for staff to encourage them to move away from the car and use greener modes of transport for commuting and travelling.
