WATCH: Games director on Birmingham 2022 's legacy
Chamber chief executive Henrietta Brealey is joined by Nicola Turner, director of legacy at Birmingham 2022, to discuss the Commonwealth Games and the impact it could have on the region beyond next summer.
Nicola (pictured), who received an MBE in 2015 for services to the West Midlands following her work on SME growth and graduate retention, is tasked with ensuring that legacy is prioritised throughout the planning of the Games, to allow the region to maximise the opportunities provided by hosting the sporting extravaganza.
She has previous experience of major sporting events having worked on the London 2012 Olympics.
Nicola joins Henrietta to discuss plans for ensuring a lasting legacy for the Games and how the event can bring positive changes to Birmingham and the wider region.
