Webinar launched to explore impact of menopause
Staffordshire County Council has launched a special webinar in recognition of World Menopause Day, highlighting the effects of menopause on women’s health.
The webinar will provide valuable insights into the effects of menopause on women’s health and offer practical advice for managing symptoms both at work and in daily life.
Taking place on World Menopause Day 18 October, from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM, the webinar is open to anyone looking to gain a deeper understanding of menopause and its impact.
A 2023 survey by SimplyHealth revealed that 23 per cent of working women aged 40 to 60 considered resigning due to the menopause and 4 per cent were planning to hand in their notice due to a lack of support.
The survey also revealed that three out of four women experience symptoms that significantly affect their wellbeing and work.
Attendees can gain an understanding of the female hormones and their impact on physical, mental and emotional wellbeing, learn to recognise signs and symptoms of perimenopause and menopause and can receive useful advice around coping with the menopause, symptoms, facts and advice on how to alleviate symptoms.
