Webinar to help firms gain foothold in US market

The Transatlantic Chamber event on Monday 25 October provides businesses with US investment aspirations with access to an array of speakers who can support their plans.

The webinar will explore the comprehensive operational support needed to establish, grow and streamline US business activity.

Speakers include Arvinder Ubhi (pictured) a director for immigration attorneys Ellis Porter UK.

Arvinder manages Ellis Porter 's London office where he advises and helps UK and European companies with their US Immigration challenges.

Arvinder worked with Ellis Porter in the US as an immigration attorney from 2012-2015, and he rejoined Ellis Porter after working for two Big Four accounting firms as a US immigration attorney in Toronto, Canada.

Also speaking at the webinar is Rob Whittall, managing partner at chartered accountants Dyke Yaxley LLP.

Rob has more than 25 years of professional experience and specialises in both inbound and outbound international taxation issues for UK and US businesses and individuals.

He is particularly knowledgeable about check-the-box tax planning, foreign tax credit utilisation, transfer pricing issues, withholding tax issues, income tax treaties, foreign earned income exclusions, and IC-DISCs.

Rob is a member of the American Institute of CPAs, Ohio Society of CPAs, and Institute of Chartered Accountants in both England and Wales.

Another speaker is experienced patent attorney Simon Bradbury, partner at Appleyardlees.

Simon advises start-ups and SMEs in obtaining and commercialising intellectual property abroad.

Having worked as patent counsel for a major US corporation, he is well placed to provide advice on the intricacies of how to secure the best protection in order to successfully sell and/or licence products or services into the US market.

Dr Frank Levene, principal partner at Blue Link Worldwide Inc, will also be joining the webinar.

Dr Frank is a US citizen and UK national. Blue Link Worldwide are experts in global business, uncorporating 'Invest USA ' which offers customised and direct access to the right independent advisors and partners to successfully enter the USA.

The final speaker is Steve Lanier, president of the American World Services Corporation.
