Weekend of free fitness and fun activities returns to Birmingham leisure centres

Birmingham Community Leisure Trust (BCLT) has announced the return of its Big Open Weekend, offering two days of free fitness taster sessions, classes, events and more this weekend (10 and 11 October).

The weekend will offer exclusive deals, free swimming taster sessions and activities for children such as inflatable splash sessions and football lessons.

Free fitness taster classes, Personal Training sessions and tennis trial lessons and much more will also be available to visitors.

The nine facilities taking part on 10 and 11October are Wyndley Leisure Centre, Beeches Pool & Fitness Centre, Billesley Tennis & Fitness Centre, Erdington Leisure Centre, Fox Hollies Leisure Centre, Stechford Leisure Centre, Cocks Moors Woods Leisure Centre, Ladywood Leisure Centre, and Northfield Leisure Centre.

Alexander Stadium will be holding their Big Open Weekend of free activities on Saturday 17 and Sunday 18 October, where visitors can try free gym sessions, Personal Training classes and use the athletics track. 

Mark Reynolds, contract manager for BCLT, which operates the facilities in partnership with Serco Leisure, said: “We are excited to see the return of our Big Open Weekend, where visitors can explore our facilities for free, try a range of activities, and explore our inclusive and friendly centres.
