Weightmans team tackle Helvellyn summit to raise money for SIFA Fireside
Four staff members from the Weightmans office in Birmingham will be taking on a challenge of completing a double summit of Helvellyn the third highest mountain in England for charity.
Rhiannon Moody, Tom Reeves, James Statham and Suneetra Singh will be taking part in the challenge on the 14 August to raise funds for the teams chosen charity SIFA Fireside.
Helvellyn stands at 3117 feet above sea level making it the third highest mountain in England.
The team will be completing the challenge alongside colleagues from Weightmans’ other nine office locations across the UK as part of the firm’s CSR initiatives.
The Weightmans’ Birmingham office chose to support this charity because of the incredible work that they do for people who are experiencing, at risk of or recovering from homelessness in the Birmingham area.
Rhiannon Moody, associate in the property litigation team, said: “As a Birmingham-based team, we wanted to support a charity that has a direct impact on our local community.
“We felt that SIFA was the perfect charity as they help some of the city’s most vulnerable people, tackling not only the immediate effects of homelessness but also addressing its underlying causes and providing compassionate support.
“Some of the many essentials that they provide include food, showers, clothing, housing advice, health and wellbeing services and personalised case work.
“We are hopeful that our efforts will encourage others to support SIFA Fireside to allow the charity to continue its invaluable work across the local area and to give back to those who are most vulnerable.”
