Hello everyone,

Welcome to the June edition of the Asian Business Chamber of Commerce (ABCC) newsletter.

We received the news this month that the next stage of unlocking the country will not be going ahead, news that was a blow to many businesses.

However, the Chamber is still here to help. In fact, we're hosting a webinar returning to Covid secure workplaces next week with Birmingham City Council.

Birmingham City Council 's Public Health team will be joining me to discuss their latest insights on the virus locally, and evidence-based advice to keep your business COVID-secure and return to prosperity as we emerge from the latest restrictive measures.

This webinar will also feature guidance from the GBCC Policy Team on the grant and other support available for businesses, and a case study as to how local firms have adapted to the latest conditions of the pandemic and are now looking to rebuild and grow.

We also have a really exciting summer of award schemes coming up. Futures Faces will be hosting its annual awards alongside Birmingham Young Professional of the Year awards. This is a great opportunity to showcase the fantastic work of our young professionals.

The deadline to apply for nominations is 9 July at 5pm.

That's about it from me, I hope you have a great rest of June.

Kind regards

Anjum Khan,

Director of ABCC
