Western Union Business Solutions will be sponsoring this month 's Commonwealth Conference, hosted by the Greater Birmingham Commonwealth Chamber of Commerce.

The foreign exchange and international payments experts will sponsor the 'Wonder' of Networking session during the Commonwealth Conference on 25 February.

The Commonwealth Conference is set to identify key markets within the Commonwealth and discuss the trading opportunities that will be crucial in the recovery of the economy post-Covid 19.

The agenda will also include the opportunity to network through breakout sessions, allowing businesses to connect, promote and gain insight into international trading opportunities.

The all-day conference will also be free to attend.

Western Union 's head of partnerships Christina Wadlow (pictured), said: “Western Union Business Solutions are pleased to be sponsoring the Commonwealth Conference.

“Our focus is to help businesses look positively at the opportunities that can be gleaned from trading with our commonwealth allies.

“As part of our commitment to support businesses manage the complexity of foreign exchange planning and cross-border payments, we have a range of market leading insights that we are happy to share, and look forward to aiding businesses in their internationally trading journeys. ”

Western Union will also be hosting their own 'Market and Industry Insights Webinar ' tomorrow [4 February] that will uncover the key market trends and events set to shape FX markets for the weeks ahead.

The webinar will explore the trends of their recent Industry Outlook Report and the unprecedented change of pace occurring across industry sectors as business leaders continue to assess the damage done by Covid-19.

Forming a picture of how businesses can thrive in a post pandemic world, Western Union strategists aim to provide guidance on questions such as:

  • Which sectors have benefited most in 2020?
  • Which are best placed for 2021 should lockdowns persist?
  • Where could we see acceleration post-pandemic, looking 3-5 years ahead?

Their guidance will also include data covering equity market value indicators, employment forecasts, Covid-19 lockdown resilience assessments, as well as long-term value-added growth forecasts from partners at Oxford Economics.
