Wildlife expert to share adventures
Broadcaster and wildlife expert Dr George McGavin will share his personal journey into discovering the world of wildlife in a show at Lichfield Garrick on Thursday 9 February.
His show takes the audience on a riveting adventure, as he shares stories of the wild and wonderful places he has visited and the amazing discoveries he has made along the way.
George 's work has taken him from the tropical forests of Papua New Guinea and Borneo to the caves of Thailand, and from the jungles of Belize to the savannahs of Tanzania.
As a much-loved zoologist, entomologist and broadcaster, George 's work in television has been fascinating and varied over many years.
Drawing from his collection of wildlife images and film footage, he will share sights, sounds, and behind the scenes secrets - from when it went right, and when it went wrong!
George (pictured) will also introduce his passion for the most diverse group of animals - insects - which have been around for well over 400 million years and make up the majority of animal species alive today.
George reveals the secrets to their success and explores how their survival is the key to our own.
