Windrush and NHS celebrated at annual Jamaican gala
The Association of Jamaican Nationals (Birmingham) UK is hosting its annual gala and awards ceremony this month.
This year’s event – taking place on 14 October at the Holte Suite, Villa Park - will commemorate the Windrush, as well as the 75th anniversary of the NHS.
Special recognition awards will be presented in line with these occasions.
Guest speakers include Professor Keven Fenton CBE, FFPH, London regional director at the Office for Health Improvement and Disparities, representatives from, the Jamaican High Commission, the Office of the Lieutenancy, and other dignitaries such as Diamond Travel founder and Global Chamber vice-president Beverly Lindsay (pictured).
Tickets are £65 and include a rum punch reception, a four-course meal and wine.
There will also be a variety of local, national and international entertainment.
