WMG Academy welcomes prospective students to open evening
WMG Academy Solihull welcomed prospective students and their families to its open evening.
The open evening showcased the academy’s specialist STEM+Digital curriculum, employer partnerships and opportunities for students joining in September 2027.
Visitors explored the academy’s specialist facilities and took part in hands-on activities across engineering, electronics, art and product design, computer science, science, maths, English and business studies.
Families also met current students, alumni, staff and employer partners, while finding out more about enrichment, pastoral support and sixth-form opportunities.
Claire Morris, principal, said: "It was a pleasure to welcome prospective students and families to WMG Academy Solihull.
"The evening was a fantastic opportunity to showcase our diverse STEM curriculum and the many opportunities available to our learners. We hope visitors left with a real sense of what makes WMG Academy such a unique place to learn and develop."
The evening highlighted WMG Academy’s business-led approach, with strong links to the University of Warwick and local and national STEM employers. Visitors also heard about the academy’s impressive student destinations, enrichment opportunities and international work experience programmes.
The event also provided information for students looking to join WMG Academy Solihull in September 2027.
Year 9 students will follow a STEM-focused curriculum combining core subjects with enterprise, digital and design, alongside hands-on learning and employer engagement.
Application deadline: 1 November 2026.
Year 12 students can choose from a broad range of A levels, technical qualifications and T Levels, including Digital Software Development and Engineering.
Families interested in joining the sixth form can also attend the sixth-form information evening on Thursday 26 November to find out more about courses, pathways and opportunities.
A sixth-form information evening is taking place on Thursday 26 November, before the application deadline on 31 January 2027.
Applications for both Year 9 and Year 12 September 2027 entry are now open.
