Women’s aid charity call for volunteers

Birmingham and Solihull Women’s Aid are looking for volunteers to give up their spare time to support women and children experiencing domestic abuse.

The charity is seeking passionate and committed volunteers who want to make a positive difference by giving some of their spare time to help those affected by domestic abuse.

Volunteers will have the opportunity to contribute to the work of Birmingham & Solihull Women’s Aid and support its efforts to provide assistance to women and children facing domestic abuse.

The organisation is encouraging anyone interested in getting involved to find out more about the eligibility requirements, responsibilities and application process before applying.

Those wishing to apply can request an application form by emailing volunteering@bswaid.org.

Prospective volunteers are reminded that applications must be submitted by Friday, 9 October 2026.

Successful applicants will then be invited to interviews taking place between 19 and 23 October.

Training is scheduled to commence on Monday, 2 November and Friday, 5 November, followed by an induction week beginning Monday, 11 January 2027.

The recruitment campaign comes as Birmingham & Solihull Women’s Aid continues its work supporting women and children affected by domestic abuse across the region.
