Women's leadership expert to deliver empowering talk at event
Dr Sam Collins, a globally recognised women 's leadership expert, author, speaker and coach will be speaking on empowerment, following the launch of her latest book: 'Rebellious'.
The event will see the collaboration of Dr Collins ' company Aspire, the first of its kind in the UK to specialise in coaching and leadership development for women. Aspire will be joined by HelpHarryHelpOthers, a charity supporting cancer patients and their families through services both emotional and financial, and Solihull Chamber of Commerce.
Dr Collins has dedicated her life to empowering women all over the world and founded Aspire 20 years ago.
Today, the company has women attending events from over 80 countries and has positively influenced more than 16 million women and girls from all walks of life.
Her Majesty, The Queen recognised Dr Collins for her contributions naming her one of the 'Top 200 Women to Impact Business & Industry'. She was also featured as one of the 'Top 10 Coaches ' by The Sunday Times and 'A Woman Shaping the World ' by CNN.
The basis of being rebellious, and the inspiration for Dr Sam Collin 's book follows Mahatma Gandhi 's thought 'Be the change you wish to see in the world ' suggesting that, if individuals can change so can the world.
The book tells 16 powerful, autobiographical stories by women who refused to be told what to do, broke rules and aspired to fulfil their personal roles to make a difference for themselves, their communities, and the world.
While the stories vary widley by circumstance, from setting up a school for girls in Pakistan, to escaping from a Kuwaiti trafficking scheme, all of the women have one thing in common: they rebelled and found the key to success.
The book will be available to buy and signed at the event.
The event takes place at 10:30am - 12:30pm, Monday 5 September at Help Harry Help Others, 8 Midland Croft, Birmingham, B33 0AW.
