The managing director and head of happiness at a leading Birmingham PR agency are to deliver a workshop at the Chamber 's virtual leadership and people management conference this month.

Tara Tomes and Hattie D 'Souza will speak about their experience of 'strengthening team dynamics and engagement ' within EAST VILLAGE PR, at the Chamber 's Growth Through People Conference.

The online conference will focus on topical leadership and people management challenges following the impacts of Brexit and Covid-19.

It will feature keynote addresses from Jess Phillips MP and Baroness Ruby McGregor-Smith CBE on empowering individuals to reach their full potential and authentic leadership in times of change.

It also includes practical workshops and panel discussions, as well as providing an opportunity to network with other local leaders, managers and decision-makers from businesses looking to grow through the adoption of new, best-practice ideas.

Further panellists and workshop facilitators will be announced in the coming weeks.

The conference is free for Chamber members. Conference tickets are £15 for non-members.

Aston University, BMet College and the University of Birmingham 's Work Inclusivity Research Centre (WIRC) are headline sponsors of Growth Through People 2021.

Tara Tomes (pictured), founder and managing director of EAST VILLAGE, has build the agency through her three passions - PR, people and paying-it-forward.

Having specialised in lifestyle PR from the start of her career, she 's delivered campaigns for the likes of Stella McCartney, BBC Good Food Show, Taste of Birmingham, Style Birmingham Live and International Dance Festival Birmingham.

Hattie D 'Souza interned with EAST VILLAGE during the summer of 2015 and became a full time member of the EV team later that year.

She is now second in command to Tara, as account director.

Hattie is also 'Head of Happiness ' at EV, leading the firm 's 'Happy & Healthy ' strategy - from little treats in the post to engaging new services that support the team in every walk of life.

Emily Stubbs, policy and projects manager at the Greater Birmingham Chambers of Commerce, said: “We are delighted that Tara and Hattie will be leading this workshop at the conference, they 've done some really interesting work around team engagement, dynamics and wellbeing at EV and this workshop is sure to share some fantastic, practical ideas for delegates considering how they might strengthen their team dynamics and engagement, during these challenging times and beyond. ”
