Workshop to help SMEs navigate and implement net zero
Aston University will be delivering a workshop which looks at navigating grants and Net Zero implementation for SMEs.
Taking place on 31 January, it is the first in a six-part series run as part of the Decarbonisation Net Zero programme and will delve into the adoption of Net Zero practices, for businesses in Birmingham and Solihull.
During this workshop, Dr Suresh Patel from Birmingham City Council will present to businesses a step-by-step roadmap to grants and offer an opportunity to register for a free energy assessment to help start their Net Zero journey.
Dr Patel has more than 30 years of experience. He has led on the £75m Green Bridge Supply Chain Programme and the £60m Business Growth Programme.
Kuran Singh, policy lead for sustainability at Greater Birmingham Chambers of Commerce, said: “This workshop being delivered by Aston University is a fantastic opportunity for businesses to learn how to begin their sustainability journey and learn the best strategies in implementing Net Zero measures.
“I highly recommend businesses, in particular SMEs register to attend this workshop, which will provide valuable information on how to access a free energy assessment and apply for grants which can be used to start your Net Zero journey.”
