Young performers sought as Charlie and the Chocolate Factory comes to Birmingham
Wannabe Charlie Buckets with singing, dancing and acting ability are in with the chance of performing on one of Birmingham’s biggest stages this June, when Charlie and the Chocolate Factory comes to The Alexandra theatre in Birmingham.
Birmingham’s BMOS Musical Theatre Company are set to perform this Broadway and West End musical between this June, and are on the lookout for two leading young performers, who will take on the role on alternate performances across a total of six shows.
Open auditions are due to be held from 9.30am to 11.30am on Sunday 28th January in Birmingham City Centre and are open to talented actors of playing age 11-12 years who are strong all-round performers.
Director Stephen Duckham said: “This is a very exciting and rare opportunity for a couple of rising stars in the local area to get a real footing and experience in musical theatre and we’d like to see as many potential future stars of the stage apply as are confident.”
Those interested in the open call must be of 'playing age' 11 to 12 years old and be able to sing, dance and act to a high standard.
Parents or legal guardians of applicants are requested to email BMOS secretary Jo Smith on [email protected] to register their application along with their full name, age and details of any relevant experience.
Deadline Thursday 24 January to register for auditions on Sunday 28 January between 9.30am to 11.30am.
Audition slots will be allocated on a first come first served basis until the audition schedule is full.
