Young professionals invited to share their views on new technology and the future of work

Young professionals across the West Midlands are being invited to share their views on the opportunities and challenges presented by technology, artificial intelligence and the future of work.

The insights gathered will contribute towards a paper that will be shared with the West Midlands Combined Authority and help inform future discussions around skills, education, employment and technology policy within our region.

Organisers are particularly keen to hear from individuals who have experience working with emerging technologies or AI, can speak about their experiences with career pathways, skills development and entering the workplace.

People with an interest in technology, innovation or entrepreneurship are also being encouraged to get involved, alongside those who would be comfortable contributing to a panel discussion, facilitated conversation or thought leadership activity.

Sarah Griffiths (pictured), Future Faces president and director of PMO at Intercity Technology, said: “This is an opportunity to help influence a region-wide conversation and ensure the experiences, concerns and aspirations of young professionals are reflected in recommendations that will be shared with policymakers and regional stakeholders.

“The objective is simple: to make sure decisions about the future are informed by the people who will be most affected by them.”
