Zapaygo supports historic event at rugby club
Transatlantic Chamber member Zapaygo has joined forces with Birmingham Moseley Rugby Club to provide young children with life-saving CPR demonstrations in the Reddings Suite.
This Billesley Common-based rugby club invited friends, family and all of its players to be a part of the largest photo in its history.
The club was also joined by special guests the Lord Mayor Councillor Muhammed Afzal and Councillor Ian Ward, who gave their support and meet members of the Moseley community.
The evening began with live CPR demonstrations held by West Midlands training provider Embark Learning.
Spectators were invited to take part in informative sessions and encouraged to practice chest compressions and mouth to mouth on specialised rescue training dummies.
This activity was important to both Zapaygo and Moseley Rugby Club as previous members of the team have relied on a defibrillator to save their life.
Zapaygo - the order/payment app for the hospitality industry - is also the stadium sponsor at Moseley.
Brian Mcclafferty, chief marketing officer at Zapaygo, said: “Zapaygo has always been a huge supporter of grassroots and professional sport.
“We are currently launching the app at a number of sports stadiums across the UK, so it was a privilege to support Birmingham Moseley Rugby Club with this incredible event.
“We recently announced our stadium sponsorship deal for the club, and we are also their chosen mobile order and pay app provider for their spectators.
“As an app provider that focuses on safety and service improvements for hospitality and the community, it was encouraging to see everyone using the app to order and pay for their refreshments.
“It was great to see so many people across generations willing to learn how to perform CPR in case of an emergency.
“Who knows, one day they might just be there in time to save someone 's life. We cannot wait to be a part of this long-term defibrillator fundraising initiative and provide sports clubs like Moseley with the sponsorship funding they may need. ”
