The head of corporate affairs and marketing at Birmingham Airport (BHX) has been announced as a speaker for the Quarterly Business Report briefing event, organised by Greater Birmingham Chambers of Commerce (GBCC).

Jo Roberts will join James Cubitt, head of the Birmingham office and co-head of the Birmingham Valuation Department at Colliers for the event, taking place at Birmingham City University next Wednesday from 9am to 11am.

Jon oversees all communications and marketing functions at Birmingham Airport including media, internal, political, social media, customer service and paid for activity.

She has been in the aviation sector for nearly a decade having previously held the position of director of communications at Heathrow during the third runway campaign and COVID pandemic.

BHX today is one of the fastest growing UK airports and tipped to serve around 14.5m passengers this year.

In 2026, it is also on track to announce the latest Masterplan detailing forecasted passenger and airport growth out until 2041, all set for public engagement later in the year.

As the GBCC flagship economic publication, the Quarterly Business Report is the most comprehensive regular report of its kind in the city-region.

Underpinning the report is data gathered from quarterly surveys completed by businesses from across the Greater Birmingham area.

The Quarterly Business Report event is delivered in partnership with Chamber patron Birmingham City University.

Delegates in attendance will have the opportunity to receive a copy of the report and watch a detailed presentation of the results and wider trends, followed by an expert panel discussion on investments trends.

The panel will be chaired by Raj Kandola, deputy CEO at Greater Birmingham Chambers of Commerce.

Raj said: “Jo brings a wealth of experience in communications and marketing within the aviation sector, and we are delighted that she will be joining the panel at our Quarterly Business Report Briefing in April.

“Given Birmingham Airport’s ambitious Masterplan and its vital role in enabling global trade, Jo’s insights will be valuable as we explore the opportunities shaping the Greater Birmingham economy. Her perspective will help inform the discussion on the region’s future growth.”
