Birmingham Children's Trust launches corporate parenting network
The Birmingham Children's Trust has launched their corporate parenting network, aimed at uniting businesses, community organisations, and leaders to support children in care and care experienced young people across the city.
This initiative is a testament to Birmingham's commitment to being the 'best parent' possible, ensuring that these young individuals are safe, loved, happy, healthy, and achieving their full potential.
The networking event, held on Wednesday, 10 April, was hosted by Arup and featured a video launch that showcased the city's dedication to Corporate Parenting.
The evening brought together an array of dedicated individuals and organisations, including representatives from PwC, GMI Construction, Birmingham Women’s and Children’s NHS Foundation Trust, and Lovell, who participated in a Q&A session.
Dawn Crooks, apprentice coordinator manager at Birmingham Children’s Trust, praised the event's success, saying: "It was great to see so many local and national businesses from lots of different industries come together and see how they can become better Corporate Parents.
“The event has really shown how many opportunities there are out there for our children and young people, but we know there is still lots more out there!.”
