Audit, accounting, tax and advisory firm Bishop Fleming has successfully exceeded the target of its flagship ‘1 per cent for Communities’ initiative - by raising just under £100,000 in charitable funds over the past year.

The Southwest and Midlands-based firm contributed more than 2,300 volunteer hours and generated over £700,000 in total community contributions through fundraising, volunteering and support for charitable causes during 2025/26 building on the momentum of the initiative launched in 2024.

The company has increased its fundraising by over 37 per cent on 2025 and, for the second consecutive year, exceeded its pledge to give back the equivalent of 1 per cent of the firm’s turnover through community-focused fundraising, volunteering and related activities.

The initiative underpins Bishop Fleming’s commitment to creating meaningful and lasting social impact across the UK by aligning its growth with purpose and social responsibility.

Fleur Lewis, partner and responsible business lead at Bishop Fleming, said: “We’re incredibly proud of the continued impact our people have made through the 1 per cent for Communities initiative over the past year.

“From fundraising and volunteering to supporting local organisations with professional skills and expertise, the commitment and dedication shown across the firm has been outstanding.

“It’s a clear demonstration of how everyone within the firm believes that our continued growth and success should have a positive social impact on the local communities we support.

“The momentum we’ve built over the past two years has been inspiring, and we’re excited to continue expanding our support and making an even greater difference over the year ahead.”

Throughout the year, Bishop Fleming employees took part in a range of fundraising activities including quizzes, skydives, bungee jumps, sports tournaments, bake sales and book swaps as well as running and cycling challenges.

Colleagues also completed the Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge and the Bristol Bridges Walk.

Volunteering is also key for the business, with employees dedicating their time to charities across the UK - from charity warehouse support for Cornwall Hospice to taking part in beach and litter cleans with Surfers Against Sewage, planting trees with the Forest of Avon Trust and providing reading support in primary schools.

Bishop Fleming employees also mentored Year 9 students through Empowering Girls and supported Young Enterprise by judging competitions and sponsoring six regional showcases.

Alongside organised activities, Bishop Fleming employees continued to contribute significant professional and personal support through positions of responsibility across schools, charities and community organisations.

Throughout 2025/26 Bishop Fleming’s fundraising activities supported its six regional charity partners, including Birmingham-based Let’s Feed Brum.

Looking ahead to 2026/27, Bishop Fleming is planning to partner with two existing and five new charities across its regional offices, building on the positive impact the firm has delivered since 2024.
