Lichfield and Tamworth Chamber charity of the year Grace Cares has joined forces with manufacturing legends Arthur Price to help tackle loneliness across the district.

The charity is inviting the community to put the kettle on and fight isolation this spring through a special partnership with one of Britain’s best-known cutlery makers.

Not-for-profit organisation Grace Cares has partnered with Arthur Price, another Chamber member, to launch a charity raffle in celebration of National Tea Party Day.

The partnership will see a beautiful Arthur Price Everyday Classic 42 Piece Boxed Set - a stainless steel cutlery set designed for six place settings and worth £279 - raffled to raise funds for Grace Cares’ hardship grants and community programmes supporting older people and unpaid caregivers.

Raffle tickets cost £10 each, with all proceeds helping Grace Cares continue its mission to make care sustainable - socially, environmentally and financially.

The winning ticket will be drawn on National Tea Party Day on 21 April, celebrating the simple but powerful act of sharing food, conversation and connection.

The charity says loneliness remains one of the biggest challenges facing older people in the UK.

According to Age UK, around 1.4 million older people say they often feel lonely, while data from the Office for National Statistics highlights the serious impact chronic loneliness can have on wellbeing and health. Yet something as simple as a cup of tea and a conversation can make a meaningful difference.

Hannah Montgomery, co-founder of Grace Cares, said: “Sharing tea and cake might seem simple, but moments of connection are incredibly powerful. National Tea Party Day felt like the perfect opportunity to bring people together while raising funds to support older people and unpaid caregivers in our community.”

Simon Price, chairman, Arthur Price said: “The statistics about loneliness are incredibly sad and we want to help in any way we can to bring people together. We’re delighted to partner with Grace Cares supporting older people in the community and we hope this raffle helps spark more connections and friendships.”

Charlie Elliott, divisional lead for Lichfield & Tamworth and Sutton Coldfield Chambers of Commerce, said: “It’s always fantastic to see the impact when the Chamber does what it does best – bringing people together. Arthur Price, who recently received our Long-standing Member Award, has generously donated a 42-piece cutlery set to Grace Cares, the Lichfield & Tamworth Chamber’s Charity of the Year, to be raffled for National Tea Party Day.

"It’s a brilliant example of two Chamber members coming together to support the local community.”

Grace Cares is also encouraging local residents to get involved by hosting their own tea parties for older people alongside the charity.

Hannah added: “If anyone would like to host a tea party for older people in their community, we would absolutely love to hear from you. A cup of tea, a slice of cake and good conversation can make a real difference.”

Members of the public can support the campaign by purchasing a £10 raffle ticket to win the Arthur Price Everyday Classic cutlery set or hosting a tea party for older people in their community
