New partner appointment boosts law firm’s intellectual property and technology practice

Squire Patton Boggs has appointed Matthew Harris as a partner in its Intellectual Property and Technology Practice Group in Birmingham. He joins the firm from Gowling WLG.

Matt (pictured) is a commercial technology lawyer advising clients on strategic technology matters and complex transactions.

He supports organisations on IT and outsourcing arrangements, digital transformation projects, software development and licensing, SaaS, data commercialisation, artificial intelligence, as well as technology and data regulation, including data privacy.

He has more than 10 years’ experience across the retail, telecommunications, energy and manufacturing sectors, among others.

Matt is the latest partner to join the firm in Birmingham following the recent arrival of transactional partners Alison Davidson-Cox, Deborah Brown and Partho Chaudhuri. The firm has also announced that it will be moving to a new office in Birmingham later this year.
