Solihull Pride welcomes new associate sponsors
As the countdown continues to Solihull’s first Pride event, the remaining event sponsors have been revealed.
The two-day event, taking place on Saturday 6 and Sunday 7 September, is being organised by Solihull Business Improvement District (BID) and has been made possible by support from a number of local companies.
Following the initial announcement of npower Business Solutions (nBS) as Headline Sponsor and BNP Paribas Personal Finance, John Lewis & Partners, Solihull College & University Centre and Touchwood as Associate Sponsors, there have been more big names in the business community stepping forward to support the event.
Davisons Law, Muse and Paragon Bank have come on board as Associate Sponsors whilst funding has also been secured from The National Lottery Community Fund.
Davisons Law have served the Solihull community for over a decade and have offices on Warwick Road. Nationwide placemaker Muse, in partnership with Solihull Council, will be delivering the transformation of Mell Square.
Paragon Bank, a specialist lender and savings bank, are part of the FTSE 250 and are headquartered on Homer Road in the town centre.
Melanie Palmer, chief executive of Solihull BID, said: “It’s fantastic to see so many local businesses supporting then event and helping make Solihull Pride a reality.
“The event simply could not go ahead without the generous support we have received so far and we now look forward to championing love, diversity and inclusivity at Solihull Pride on the 6th and 7th of September.”
CGI, David Wilson Homes and Howden have also provided support sponsorship as Solihull gears up to host its first ever Pride celebration in the town centre.
Donna Corrodus, chair of Paragon’s EDI Network, said: “We’re extremely excited to be an Associate Sponsor of the first Solihull Pride event.
“At Paragon, we know how important an inclusive and diverse workplace is for our business and our people.
“We see our partnership with Solihull BID as a great way for us to celebrate and show support for the diverse communities in and around Solihull.”
Director of Davisons Law’s Solihull Office, Kerry Morgan, said: “We’re honoured to support Solihull’s Pride Festival and celebrate the vibrancy and inclusivity that make our communities stronger.
“Diversity is a strength we champion every day at Davisons Law, and supporting Pride in Solihull is an extension of that commitment.’’
Lisa Turley, development director, Muse, added: “We’re incredibly proud that Muse is sponsoring Solihull Pride in 2025.
“It’s an important moment of inclusion and community, values that are central to who we are and how we work.
“Pride is about visibility, belonging and creating spaces where everyone feels seen and supported.
“The fact that the parade is ending in Mell Square, which we’re regenerating in partnership with Solihull Metropolitan Borough Council, makes it even more meaningful to us.
“It’s a powerful symbol of how inclusive placemaking can bring people together, and we’re honoured to play a part in that.”
