The Belfry named in prestigious ranking of best places to work
The Belfry Hotel & Resort has been named in a top ranking of best places to work in the UK.
The world-famous golf resort near Sutton Coldfield made it into The Sunday Times Best Places to Work 2026 list – earning a top 10 spot for ‘Best Big Places to Work’.
Celebrating the UK’s top employers, the nationwide survey, conducted by The Sunday Times in partnership with employee experience platform WorkL, champions organisations that are leading the way in employee engagement, workplace culture and overall employee experience.
Chris Eigelaar, managing director of The Belfry Hotel & Resort, said: “To be recognised by The Sunday Times - and named among its top ten ‘Best Big Places to Work’ nationally - is something we’re incredibly proud of.
“Hospitality is all about people, which is why we continue to invest heavily in ours.
“From wellbeing to development and long-term career opportunities, we’ve seen first-hand that, when employees feel supported and valued, they achieve extraordinary things.
“What makes this recognition particularly special is the fact it celebrates an environment where people from all backgrounds and levels of experience can thrive.
“Many of our team joined us through work experience placements or training programmes, and it has been immensely rewarding to watch so many go on to build successful and fulfilling careers with us.”
This recognition follows a string of accolades for The Belfry, including being named in The Caterer’s ‘Top 30 Best Places to Work in Hospitality’ for the third year running.
Zoe Thomas, Editor of The Sunday Times Best Places to Work, added: “In an evolving world of work, Britain’s leading employers are helping staff forge careers that count today – and in the future.
“In turn, the Best Places to Work have the resilience to weather the current economic storms baked in, thanks to engaged workers who go above-and-beyond with a smile.
“Our winning employers span sizes and sectors…The thread joining them is the belief that a happy workforce is a stepping stone to better performance, faster growth, and bigger profits.
“More than that, there’s a collective instinct that a contented rank-and-file is a worthwhile business goal in and of itself.”
