Poor mental health costs UK employers up to £56 billion every year (Deloitte), yet only 29% of managers feel confident spotting the early warning signs (MHFA England).

In times of constant change and uncertainty, supporting mental health and wellbeing has never been more important.

Why attend?

Managing Stress in the Workplace is a practical, interactive workshop designed to help individuals and organisations understand the nature of stress and how it affects day-to-day working life. Stress is a natural response to pressure, but when left unmanaged, it can become one of the leading causes of work-related ill health and long-term absence.

This session explores where stress comes from, how it manifests, and what can be done to reduce its impact. Participants will gain insight into recognizing signs of stress in themselves and others and learn how to take proactive steps to support mental health and wellbeing in the workplace.

If you're unsure how stress affects your team or how to manage it effectively, this short, engaging workshop is the ideal starting point. It breaks down the essentials and equips you with tools to foster a healthier, more resilient work environment.

Is it for me?

How Does Managing Stress in the Workplace Help You?

Whether you're a manager, team leader, or employee, understanding stress is key to creating a supportive and productive workplace. This course offers a clear, practical overview of how stress works, how to spot it, and how to manage it effectively.

Specifically, we cover:

  • What stress is – including the difference between helpful stress and distress
  • The stress container – a visual tool to explain why we sometimes ‘snap’
  • How to spot signs and symptoms of stress in the workplace
  • How to complete stress risk assessments to support employee wellbeing
  • Practical tools and techniques to manage stress day-to-day

This is an interactive workshop delivered face to face with plenty of opportunity to ask questions, share experiences, and engage in practical activities that bring the concepts to life.
