Future Faces has been created by Greater Birmingham Chambers of Commerce to help businesses support and develop staff who are committed to developing their careers. We are dedicated to maintaining a networking forum for aspiring business people in Greater Birmingham. Future Faces is a legally constituted section of the Chamber, the executive committee currently has 10 members and elections take place every November. The Annual Dinner & Awards take place every September, to read up on this year's awards click here.
Birmingham is the youngest city in Europe, with under 25s accounting for nearly 40% of the population. There are over 400 schools, 15 universities and three university colleges within one hour’s drive of the city. The universities are working together to put a strong sales pitch to students and employers in order to retain young talent from elsewhere as well as home grown talent.
Future Faces welcomes people from all sectors seeking to share experiences, to learn from business leaders and to work with their peer groups to develop new skills, knowledge and best practice. There are monthly events providing training around essential business skill areas as well as fun and relaxed networking opportunities designed to allow members to expand their network of contacts. The signature event in the Future Faces calendar is the Dinner & Awards which is now in its second year, the event gives young professionals throughout the region the chance to receive recognition for excellence in their sectors.
Future Faces also holds two events per month with both social and training elements in relaxed settings around the city. To view the Annual Report for 2015/16 please click here.
It reflects the core belief that we often learn and develop most effectively in the company of friends and peers with obvious benefits for employers in the creation of more confident, knowledgeable and better networked staff.
