CAPE People Development shortlisted for British Training Awards 2026
CAPE People Development has been named a Finalist in the prestigious British Training Awards 2026 in the category of L&D Provider of the Year – less than 20 employees.
The British Training Awards celebrate the organisations and individuals who are passionate about the role learning and development plays in building thriving workplaces and future-ready organisations.
This year saw a record 423 entries from organisations across the UK, with finalists ranging from start-up pioneers and not-for-profits to global brands and major employers.
Founded by Lynsey Kitching and Naomi Regan, CAPE People Development specialises in helping founders, owners and leadership teams grow sustainable organisations through conversation-led leadership, people development and coaching.
The business has worked with more than 1,000 individuals across 60+ organisations in over 20 countries, supporting organisations to build stronger cultures, more confident leaders and healthier workplace conversations.
The shortlisting follows a significant year for CAPE, including the launch of their new book, Beyond Small Talk, continued growth of their leadership development programmes, and recognition in being recognised with the Solihull Chamber 2025 workplace champion award.
Lynsey Kitching said: “We’re absolutely delighted to be shortlisted for L&D Provider of the Year for the second year running. What makes this recognition particularly meaningful is the calibre and scale of organisations involved across the awards.
“At CAPE, we believe leadership happens through conversations - the everyday moments that shape trust, clarity, accountability and performance.
“To see our conversation-led approach recognised nationally alongside so many respected organisations is something we’re incredibly proud of.
“We’re also hugely grateful to our clients, programme participants, partners and wider community who continue to trust us to support their people and leaders through growth, challenge and change.”
The British Training Awards 2026 judges include senior learning and development leaders from organisations including Booking.com, Lloyds Banking Group, Bupa, Barnardo's and Bentley Motors.
Nate Harwood, founder of New Possible and the British Training Awards, said: “Investment in learning and development is non-negotiable for organisations to succeed in 2026.
“As we navigate a profound industrial shift, those equipping their people with new skills are actively building tomorrow's economy.
“The British Training Awards celebrate the visionary teams and individuals driving this transformation. Congratulations to all our Finalists.”
