Visit Knowle has featured on BBC News ahead of the villages 750th anniversary celebrations.

Kim Hulse, the organisation’s co-founder, spoke to the BBC about what makes Knowle such a special place to live, work and visit.

The article, published on BBC News online, explores the history of Knowle - from its origins as Cnolle in 1068 to its establishment as a manor in its own right in 1276 - and looks ahead to the celebrations taking place on Sunday 21st June.

Local historian and Knowle Society member Ann Bower also features in the programme  reflecting the importance of the village's heritage and the strength of its community.

Kim Hulse told the BBC: “The day is going to be bigger than any high street celebration that Knowle has put on before.”

The feature reflects growing interest in Knowle's anniversary milestone and the work Visit Knowle has done to bring the community together around it.

The 750 celebrations on 21 June included live music across two stages, an artisan market, community stalls, street food, family activities, a heritage exhibition from the Knowle Society and the official reopening of Knowle Library.
