Asian Business Chamber announces panellists for upcoming Eid event
The Asian Business Chamber of Commerce (ABCC) has lined up a diverse set of expert panellists for the Eid Business Networking event at the National Conference Centre.
They include Dr Sidra Hasan, medical director of House of Health; Kasim Choudhry, multicultural apprenticeship and enterprise ambassador for Pathway Group; and Salman Anwar, director of ADL Tax.
It will be chaired by Zahir Ahmed director of MIA Property Group and ABCC executive committee member. The discussion will focus on how businesses and charities collaborate for success.
Dr. Sidra Hasan is an experienced GP and menopause specialist with over 17 years of expertise across NHS and private practice.
As medical director of House of Health, she leads the delivery of exceptional, patient-centred care, combining clinical excellence with innovation to provide a truly personalised healthcare experience.
With extensive postgraduate training in women’s health, gynaecology, sexual and reproductive health, contraception, menopause care, and psychosexual medicine, Dr. Hasan offers specialist tailored expertise championing preventative and holistic approaches to wellbeing.
Salman Anwar is the founder and director of ADL Tax; a specialist tax disputes firm established after 13 years in tax dispute resolution.
A former HMRC Tax Inspector, he spent five years inside HMRC's Large Business and Fraud Investigation Service before holding senior roles at BDO and Mazars.
He now helps business owners, directors, and accountants resolve serious HMRC investigations and disclosures.
Alongside his professional work, Salman serves as chairman of the Board of Trustees at Mission Relief, a UK-registered charity operating as an NGO in Kenya.
As multicultural apprenticeship ambassador at Pathway Group and non-executive director of the Multicultural Apprenticeship Alliance and ThinkFest, Kasim leads initiatives focused on diversity, inclusion, equity and social mobility across apprenticeships, entrepreneurship and business.
Having started his career in the financial and legal sector, he experienced workplace inequality first-hand and is passionate about creating opportunities for underrepresented communities.
Kasim is the former president and now honorary chair of Future Faces Chamber of Commerce, supporting the development of young professionals and future regional leaders.
He is also the former Interim CEO of the Initiative for Social Entrepreneurs and founder of the Social Economy Awards, championing the growth and impact of the social economy.
Eid al-Adha, the Festival of Sacrifice, is celebrated by Muslims around the world. Its values align with modern approaches to CSR, encouraging businesses to look beyond profit and play an active role in strengthening communities and supporting social causes.
The event will also feature a special exhibition from The Kiswah Collection, showcasing rare artefacts connected to the sacred heritage of Makkah and Madinah, with pieces dating back to the Ottoman era.
Katrina Raipuri, head of the Asian Business Chamber of Commerce, said: “Our Eid Business Networking event is about bringing together influential voices from across business, charity and the wider community to explore how meaningful collaboration can create lasting impact.
“We’re delighted to welcome such a diverse and accomplished panel, each bringing unique perspectives and experiences from their respective sectors.”
