First speaker announced for upcoming quarterly business report briefing event
The head of corporate affairs and marketing at Birmingham Airport (BHX) has been announced as the first speaker for the Quarterly Business Report briefing event, organised by Greater Birmingham Chambers of Commerce (GBCC).
Jo Roberts (pictured) will share her expertise on the theme of navigating global uncertainty and seizing local opportunity during the event, taking place at Birmingham City University on Tuesday, 7 July from 9am to 11am.
Jo oversees all communications and marketing functions at Birmingham Airport including media, internal, political, social media, customer service and paid for activity.
She has been in the aviation sector for nearly a decade having previously held the position of director of communications at Heathrow during the third runway campaign and COVID pandemic.
BHX today is one of the fastest growing UK airports and tipped to serve around 14.5m passengers this year.
As the GBCC flagship economic publication, the Quarterly Business Report is the most comprehensive regular report of its kind in the city-region.
Underpinning the report is data gathered from quarterly surveys completed by businesses from across the Greater Birmingham area.
The Quarterly Business Report event is delivered in partnership with Chamber patron Birmingham City University.
Delegates in attendance will have the opportunity to receive a copy of the report and watch a detailed presentation of the results and wider trends, followed by an expert panel discussion on investments trends.
The panel will be chaired by Raj Kandola, deputy CEO at Greater Birmingham Chambers of Commerce.
Raj said: “Jo brings a wealth of experience in communications and marketing within the aviation sector, and we are delighted that she will be joining the panel at our Quarterly Business Report Briefing next month.
“Given Birmingham Airport’s ambitious Masterplan and its vital role in enabling global trade, Jo’s insights will be valuable as we explore ways to navigate global uncertainty while seizing local opportunities. Her perspective will help inform the discussion on the region’s future growth.”
